Ananthapura Lake Temple, Kasargod
30 km from Bekal, this 9th century temple is the only lake temple in Kerala and is the moolasthanam (original abode) of Anandapadmanabha, the deity of Sree Padmanabha Swami Temple, Thiruvananthapuram. A crocodile at the temple pond, said to be 150 year old is a major attraction.

Aranmula
(Nearest railway station: Chengannur - 10 km): The Parthasarathi Temple (dedicated to Sree Krishna) on the banks of the holy river Pamba attracts large crowds of devotees. The famed Aranmula boat race is held on the last day of the week long Onam festival. The Vijnana Kalavedi at Aranmula imparts training in the traditional arts like Kathakali, classical dances, classical music, as well as Kalaripayattu.

Holy Cross Church, Mapranam, Thrissur
The Holy Cross Church, Mapranam, Thrissur is one of the few churches in Asia which has received the relic of the Holy Cross, part of the Holy blood of Jesus Christ and the bloodstained Holy Cloth used by Veronica to wipe the face of Jesus Christ, all donated from Vatican by the order of the Pope.

Kodungalloor
The small country town of Kodungalloor is situated 35 kilometres south of Thrissur. Kodungallur situated on the west coast, was once a great port of the Chera rulers of Tamilnadu. It was known by the Greek as the Muziris and is a place immersed in rich history. Kodungalloor is surrounded by backwaters and the sea is also famous as Cranganore and has an illustrious past, to tell.

Lokanarkavu Temple
This temple, associated with the heroes and heroines of the Vadakkanpattu or northern ballads combines an arresting simplicity and a legendary aura. The candid murals and carvings here are a delight to art lovers.

Madiyankulam Durga Temple
This Bhadrakali Temple at Kanhangad in Hosdurg is famed for its Bhutha dance (pootham) performed in connection with the annual festivals in May/June & December/January.

Malayattoor Church
Situated about 47 km from Kochi, Malayattoor is famous for the Catholic Church, located on top of the Malayattoor hill, at a height of 609 mts. Dedicated to St. Thomas the apostle of Jesus Christ, thousands of pilgrims gather here for the annual festival of 'Malayatoor Perunnal',held during the months of March /April. 

Mannarasala Sree Nagaraja Temple
(32 km south of Alappuzha)Situated near Harippad, this is a serpent shrine under the patronage of a brahmin family, headed by a priestess. The ancient shrine is an internationally renowned pilgrim centre dedicated to the Serpent God Nagaraja. Sarpa Yakshi and Naga Yakshi are the beloved consorts of Nagaraja. 

Maramon
Situated near Kozhencherry, Maramon is the venue of a mammoth religious convention of Christians from all over the world. It is attended by people from all communities. The convention which is usually held in February is addressed by religious thinkers and Christian scholars from across the world. This is perhaps the largest Christian convention in Asia. 

Parassinikadavu Sri Muthappan Temple
This centre of worship and faith has in store many unique practices and rituals, and the temple architecture itself stands testimony to this aspect. Located 20 km away from Kannur, a northern district of Kerala, the Parassinikadavu Muthappan (Siva) Temple on the banks of the Valapatnam River attracts people from all sections of the society; irrespective of religion, caste and promotes the essence of "Vasudaiva Kutumbakam - The whole world is one family."
